2/13 EXIT SLIPS 7TH PERIOD

Today was very interesting! I learned about many Black American poets. Such as Zora Neale Hurtson, Countee Cullen, and Georgia Douglass Johnson. --Shakira Gordon

I learned that great work comes with dedication. Just like people in the Harlem Renaissance, they didn't get there just because. They got there through their hard work.---Courtney Lee

Today I learned about how to correct titles and great contributors of the Harlem Renaissance. I really enjoyed Simaya's presentation that included Toni Morrison's Beloved Trailer. --Evelyn Hooks

From all the presentations, one thing I learned was that there are more male writers than female writers that contributed to the Harlem Renaissance.--Clifton Davis

Today, I learned about multiple people that contributed to the Harlem Renaissance and the "American Dream." A person that stood out to me most was Toni Morrison. After hearing that presentation,  I would like to read the novel Beloved.

I learned some new things about the Harlem Renaissance and how Alicia's author wanted to be black. ---Tony Cowan
